Fire Dance- digital 8x10 Only 3 Limited Edition prints left!
This was my first attempt at working with gouache a medium typically used by animators for painting backgrounds. I thought it would be great for this piece, which is a tribute to old horror movies. I believe it adds more of a black and white feel. Because I spent so much of my youth watching old creature features, they became a huge influence in my artwork. Therefore, I felt compelled to paint a tribute to them.
Creature Feature: gouache on art board 15x18 (STOLEN) @ a 1ST Friday show in down town San Jose. If you have any information please email me @ storyboardlifer@ yahoo.com $500.00 REWORD!

John Cloud has been an accomplished, well respected artist for the last 18 years, honing his craft and the various facets of his style. He worked as a comic/graphic novelist and illustrator on several published titles, distributed both nationally and internationally. The latest is entitled, “Asylum”, Issue #2, soon to be released. John has also been a mural artist for many years, painting murals for many local businesses and art lovers in the bay area. His latest mural was commissioned by the city of Redwood City for the 1st Annual Salsa Festival. Now located in the Redwood City, city hall. He has a unique modern serialism style, a combination of Salvador Dali, and a pinch of Jackson Pollock. Mix in some comic illustrators, such as Jim Lee and Mark Silvestry, then throw in a little Tim Burton, a vivrant color pallet, and this is what you get. He hopes you enjoy his work, and welcomes you to open up your mind, and realize... IT’S All JUST A PIGMENT OF YOUR IMAGINATION!
